Guillermina R. (Martinez) Carrillo

Guillermina R. Carrillo (nee Martinez), age 86 formerly of Griffith, IN passed away Friday, December 6, 2024.  She is survived by 3 children: Christine Medina, William (Francis Gutierrez) Rivera and Esther (Hector) Leal; 4 grandchildren: Marissa (Christopher) Poe, Anthony (Mandy) Rivera, Stephanie (Matthew) Hernandez, and David (Andrea) Hernandez; 7 great grandchildren: Hailee Poe, Jacob Duck, Joseph Anderson, Maxwell Anderson, Abigail Hernandez, Juliet Hernandez, and Cole Rivera; brothers in Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents, J. Soledad Martinez and Esther Acosta Martinez; husband, Jesse Carrillo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.  Friends may meet with the family from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Friday morning.
