Hector D. Torres

Hector D. Torres, age 76 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at home. Hector was born on December 29, 1945 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Carmelo and Victoria Torres.  He graduated from Froebel High School in Gary, IN, served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, then worked as a machinist at U.S. Steel Company and Verson Steel.  He was married to Teresa Torres from 1975 to 1993 and is survived by son, Mark Torres.  He also leaves behind his friends from recent years: Jerry Meakisz, Dave Walker, Andrea and Ty Edwards, Fidel Azcona, Belford Perez and Carlos Salazar and many from his past.  Special thanks to Christopher Fletcha.
