Isidrio "Sid" Rubio

Isidrio “Sid” Rubio, age 67, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024.  Sid is survived by 6 siblings:  Victoria Salazar, Frances Rubio, Christine Rubio, Sandra Rubio, Maria (Adrian) Flores, and Rosalinda Rubio; 2 aunts: Guadalupe Martinez and Abelina Juarez; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by his parents: Santos and Aurora (Munoz) Rubio.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, Indiana.  Rev. Terry Steffens will have a prayer service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday.  Private cremation to follow.  Interment of cremains at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN will be at 10:00 am on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Sid was an employed at Inland Steel Company for 17 years and a dedicated employee of Pastrick Marina for 12 years.  He was an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks.  For all who knew Sid, knew he loved listening to his favorite bands, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Led Zeppelin & The Beatles.  As time passed and age started kicking in, he turned to spending time with his sisters and family.  Sid has left us to join his parents in heaven.  Please omit flowers, memorial donations in Isidrio’s memory may be made to the family.
