Jimmie R. Manuel, Sr., age 81 of Union Mills, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, December 30, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary J. Manuel (nee Biagi); 2 children, Jimmie (Alicia) Manuel, Jr. and Nancy (John) Lara; 5 grandchildren: James, Daniel (Leslie) and Marcelina Manuel, Anthony (Crystal) and Marc Lara; 3 great grandchildren: Sean and Wyatt Lara, and Oliver Manuel; 2 sisters, Mabel (late Jerry) Green and Brenda (Roger) Jay; in-laws, Bill (Bev) Manship and Ann (Randy) Carlson; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Arley and Ima Manuel; siblings: Geraldine (late Billie Jack) Watson; Arlene (late Buster) Quillen, Mayvene (late Carl) Chance, H.L. Manuel, Ruby (Jerry) Stafford; brother in law, John (late Linda) Biagi.

Visitation at the KISH FUNERAL HOME, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023.  Burial will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
