Jose Luis Esquivel

Jose Luis Esquivel, age 59 of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2025. He was born on July 16th, 1965 in Irimbo, Michoacan,Mexico to Isabel Romero and Rafael Esquivel. He was a brother to Ramon, Juan, Rafael,Carmelo,Jesus,Victoria, Angelina and Guadalupe. 

Jose is survived by his wife Linda Sanchez, six children; Edgar, Ricardo, Linda, Christina, Olivia, Jose and fourteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Isabel Romero, his father Rafael Esquivel, and two siblings Ramon Esquivel, and Juan Esquivel. 

Jose from a young age found solace and joy in the art of music. Throughout the community he performed the guitar with family. He even took a chance with his vocals a time or two. 

Jose was a dedicated landscaper known for his passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.He worked for Timber Ridge Landscape, INC for over 30 years. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  Burial to follow at St. John/St Joseph Cemetery, 1547 167th St, Hammond,IN 46320.
