Joseph Herrera

Joseph “Corky” Herrera, age 71 of Griffith, IN passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022.  He is survived by his son, Frank Joseph (Stacey) Mesa; 2 grandchildren, Clinton and Cameron Mesa; siblings: Patricia Barrientos, Victoria (Paul) Muryasz, Anthony Herrera, Sr., Jason (Melissa) Herrera, late Christopher Herrera, Dean (Natalie) Herrera, Jesse, Johnny and Jimmy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irene Herrera.

Funeral services at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Peter Speckhard officiating.  Burial to follow at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday morning.

Joseph was a retired Jouneyman for Heat & Frost Insulators Local #17. He was an avid Chicago Sports fan and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Munster, IN.
