Joseph "Joe" M. Hasara

Joseph "Joe" Hasara age 48 of Griffith, Indiana passed away after a difficult battle with cancer on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Joe was born August 9, 1977 and grew up in Gary, Indiana. There he attended Saint Mark School and Saint Mary school in Griffith. He then attended and
graduated from Andrean High School. Later he attended Job Corps, where he met his wife. While there, he concurrently attended Sinclair Community College and received an Associate degree in Computer Science. Joe was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and collected Magic: the Gathering cards.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Hasara. He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine née Everett and daughter Sarah; his parents, Albert and Susan; his sisters: Stephania, and Nicole (Steven); and brothers: Andrew (Brenda), Anthony (Jamie), Christopher (Julie), and Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, Indiana.  Private cremation to follow.
