Judith Hortencia (Peral) Gonzalez, age 85 of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at home.  Mother of 8 children: Bertha A. (Patrick) Howard, Judith (Jeffrey R.) Clark, late Jose L. Gonzalez, Alejandro (Marina) Gonzalez, Caroline (late Eusebio) Gutierrez, Victor Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez and Gerardo (Diana) Gonzalez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson on the way; siblings: late Gildardo (late Hermila) Peral, Martha (late Francisco, Jr.) Ponce, Teresa (Alfredo) Velazquez and late Sonia Almanza; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN. Graveside serives will follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN at 2:30 pm with Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiating

Judith retired from V.F. Garza & Sons after 30 years of service. She was former owner of Verona’s Pizza in Merrillville, IN.
