Julia E. (Rodriguez) Nazario

Julia E. Nazario, age 72 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Beatrice Nazario and Mary H. (Manuel) Mello; 3 grandchildren: Christopher John (fiancé Kaylyn), Francisco (Laura) Garcia III and Gabrielle Garcia; 5 great grandchildren: Xavier, Alex, Makynzye, Mia and Christopher, Jr.; sister, Diane Rodriguez; brothers, Augustine (Margarita) Rodriguez, Victor (Exa Sue) Rodriguez and Gerardo Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews; grand dogs, “Titus”, “Levi”, “Max” “Luna” and “Sol.” Preceded in death by her husband, Anibal T. “Eddie” Nazario (2017); parents, Georgino and Lucila Rodriguez; and daughter, Norma Nazario.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Pastor Moses Paez officiating.  Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday morning.  **(A MAXIMUM of 50 People will be Allowed in the Funeral Home at one time and MASKS and SOCIAL DISTANCING will be Required.)**

Julia retired from Franciscan Alliance in Hammond after 20 years of service, she was a medical legal transcriptionist and medical secretary.  She graduated from Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, IN.  She was also a graduate of Instituto Biblico Ebenezer Bible School in Chicago, IL in 1997.  She was also a Sunday School teacher at Harbor Lighthouse Assembly of God for several years in East Chicago.  She studied culinary arts and cake decorating.  She also enjoyed painting still life forms and had a passion for gardening and making things beautiful. To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
