Mr. Keith L. Moore, aka “Big Homie” was born on August 15, 1987 to Susan McDowell and Darnell Moore.
Keith accepted Christ as a teenager at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Keith loves his cars even as a young boy, Keith would always be outside in the garage with his father building and fixing cars. Keith was a very happy and charming young man that loved his kids and his family and friends.
Keith attended Joseph Warren Elementary School and Percy L. Julian High School. He worked at Chase Band for a couple years and from there he went on to follow his dreams as a youth; rebuilding Chevys. He was known as the “King of Box Chevy”.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Susan and Darnell; children, KaMya, Lil Keith, Jr. and Kween; siblings: Kevin “Stuff”, Keara, Ashley, Angel, Asia and Quentin (brother in-law) Darnell, Alex, Jasmine, Celestine, Ricky and Marcus (preceded him in death); nephews: Kihya, Kylea, Sade, Alasia, Alaya, Faith and Grace and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dan McDowell, Barber McDowell, Excell Moore, Joe Willie Moore, Rickey Harrell and uncle, Carl McDowell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 at 12:30 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Pastor Ronnie Coleman officiating. Entombment to follow at Lincoln Cemetery, Blue Island, IL. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Friday morning. (Due to COVID-19 there will be a limit of no more than 100 people allowed in the Funeral Home at one time; visitors must adhere to social distancing and wearing face masks)
