Kenneth “Kenny” A. Lopez, 39, of Whiting, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Kenny was a dedicated mechanic whose hard work, loyalty, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Above all, he was a loving father who deeply cherished his son, Benjamin Cervantes. His love for his family and his strength through life’s challenges will always be remembered.

He is survived by his beloved son, Benjamin Cervantes; Mother, Elynda Rosa (Javier Espinoza); his father, Kenneth Lopez (Rosemary Pallo-Lopez); his siblings, Lillianna Lopez, Aristides Lopez (Cecilia Szatkowski), Jessica Lopez, Andrew Nagy, Jessica Nagy, Adrian Martinez Cortazar (Ray Cortazar) and Steven Lopez; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Nially Guadalupe, Eli Lopez, Ivy Lopez, Nathan Szatkowski, Joey Cancel, Nico Cancel, Daniel Martinez and Hannah Martinez. Preceded in death by: Robert Nagy, Delma Rosa-Montgomery, Ana and Aristides Rosa, Evelyn Cuadrado, Ralph Cancel

Kenny will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to those he loved, and the countless lives he touched through his generosity and friendship. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
