Kenneth L. "Kenny" Sangster, age 65 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at home. He is the son of James Sangster and the late Minnie "Peaches" Parker; he is survived by his wife, Maria "Lulu" Martinez; 4 children: Danielle (James), Leola, Pamela (Gabriel) & James (Sada); 18 grandchildren: Nathaniel(27), Willie(26), Destiny(24), Jamie(21), Jonathan(18), Mya(16), Jakayla(16), Debra(15), Alana(14), Shanice(14), Leah(13), James(10), Loletta(9), Abry(6), Armani(6), Skylar(5), Alessa(5), Alisson(2); 2 great grandchildren: Kaiden (2) and Kehlani (11 months).
Born and raised in Chicago Kenny was a sports lover a faithful fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, a lover of music; worked for many years as manager operator in American Accord Food Corp where he also made a lot of friends his selfless and caring personality are some of his most loved qualities. His best jobs in life were Son, Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. He spread love to everyone around him and has always a smile for everyone.Because of his big heart and smile Kenny will be greatly missed by his wife, kids, grandkids, great grandkids, friends and all the people that knew him.He is finally at the best concert he has ever attended with VIP access!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick Church, 3810 Grand Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Diego Florez officiating. Private cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Church on Friday morning.
