Kentray Young, formerly known as "my baby & everything" by his mom, Kentray to his loved ones, and to the world as Rapper Tray Savage Glo Gang.
On July 5, 1993 God planted a beautiful spirit of love in the lives of Frances Young and Carl Vandolah, who both preceded him in death. Along with his brother Frank Igess Jr., Auntie Crystal Grey, Uncle Jackie Grey, Great Grandmother Frances Hal, and Great Grandfather Aston Young.
Kentray accepted Christ as a child and was baptized at Harvey Memorial Church. He later reaffirmed his faith and made his peace with God again at Harvey Memorial Church. Finally, he departed his life to join God on the other side June 19, 2020. Kentray attended South Loop Elementary School and later graduated from Martha Ruggles Elementary School. He then attended Chicago Vocational High School (CVS).
He played basketball and loved music at an earlier age. Kentray rose to fame thanks to his popular songs "Got The Mac" and "Faces". He was also a member of the Chief Keef and the late Fredo Santana's record label Glory Boys Entertainment (GBE).
While pursuing his rap career he met the love of his life Breean "Shelly Big Red" Mannie. Throughout the nine years of their love cycle they were able to formulate a beautiful family, with son Amir Young and daughter Amira Young.
Kentray was truly a very motivational and inspirational person as he set goals and accomplished them. All while he focused on what was important in his life (kids, family, and music).
He leaves to mourn his grandmother Mary Scott known as "granny" (Mike), two great aunts Barbara Wallace and Jean Wallace.
He leaves to cherish his memory one brother Deontay Igess (Eboni), and two sisters Mary "Missy" Igess and Breouna Young. His stepfather Frank Igess, two great aunts Barbara Wallace and Jean Wallace, and two great uncles Aston Young (Marvis) and Gregory Young (Pam), Grandmother Mary Scott (Mike), two uncles James and Randy, five aunts Judy, Diane, Susanne, LaFrance, LaVille, and Lavonia. Also two nieces Brooklyn and Kasiya, cousins Brian, Allison, Darius, James Jr., Martell, Bo, Shiya, Maddox, Jamell, Jada, Jaqueza, Janiya, Jayceon, Granville, and Kristyle. Furthermore, a host of family members, friends, and his love of music.
Kentray will be taken by Horse Drawn Carriage to his place of Entombment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
