Lorenzo Camarillo

Lorenzo Camarillo, age 58 formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, April 11, 2025. Lorenzo is survived by: his mother, Dominga Camarillo; his 8 children: Esther (Jesus), Joseph (Jessica), Hannah, Sarah, Steven, Jacob, Desmond and Makyia; and his 8 beautiful grandchildren: Layla, Jesse, Micah, Aleyna, Ben, Lilliana, Lilla, and Delilah; his brother Reimundo and sisters Dominga, Cruzita, and Rosalinda; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. His siblings; Victoria, Domingo, Victor,  Santiago (Gomez) and brother-in-law, Javier welcomed him home. 

Lorenzo “Lody” was a proud, life long resident of East Chicago and beloved by all that knew him. He was an avid sports fan and could usually be found rooting for his teams: Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and Notre Dame. He also was a huge supporter of East Chicago sports teams. 

Lorenzo always had a story tell and had a great sense of humor. Though small in stature, he had a huge presence and a kind heart. He was a movie buff and a huge fan of The Twilight Zone. He loved spending time with his family and friends, usually at a cookout with his favorite songs playing. He knew the Lord and was baptized at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Someday we’ll be together again and we’ll walk in fields of gold.
