Manuel Larios, age 88 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 surrounded by the love and prayers of his wife of 63 years, Esther Larios; 10 children: Manuel (Cynthia) Larios, Maria Eugenia (Conrad) Rodriguez, Rosalinda (Jaime) Garcia, Patricia (Jack) Ding, Javier (Estela) Larios, Raul (Zelda) Larios, Martin Larios, Ramona (Juan) Becerra, Roberto (Stephanie) Larios and Jose (Ruby) Larios; his dog companion, “Toy”; 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jose and Rufugio; 2 sisters, Antonia and Lourdes; dearest cousin, Consuelo (Eliseo) Castaneda and other cousins in the area; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN followed by a Private Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Carlos Sosa officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2020. Manuel was born March 9, 1932 in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico to Eulogio Larios and Natividad Olmos. He moved to East Chicago in 1955 and became an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Manuel retired from CSX Railroad, Inland Steel Company and the East Chicago Bus Transit. He was a soccer and baseball fan, and he loved gardening, dancing, music, and fixing radios and watches.
