Marcia J. Ploski

Marcia J. Ploski (née Papp) of Highland, Indiana passed away January 19th, 2026 at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Thomas Ploski, parents Mary and Benjamin Papp, sister Karen Papp, and brother Stephen Papp. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ploski; grandchildren Alaina Ploski (Matt Wilson), Ryan Rodriguez, and Carley Rodriguez; great-grandson; sister, Michaeline Gargas (Wally); sister-in-laws; Patricia Chess and Caryl Ploski; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Marcia’s life was the quintessential example for caring for others; she was the most selfless and generous person who took care of her whole family, no matter the time nor place. She always sought to lighten the load for others, whether that meant painting, helping with moves, and making sure the kids had rides to school. She never missed a kids birthday nor sporting event, audibly cheering them on from the stands and in general throughout each of their lives. Her prayers kept her family safe and sound for as long as she’s been saying them. Opposite her troublemaker spouse, Marcia was a “goody two-shoes,” bringing balance to their long, loving marriage. She leaves behind a legacy of patience, kindness, generosity, and the most loving spirit. May her memory be a blessing to all whose paths crossed hers.

Marcia enjoyed ice skating in her youth, and later enjoyed watching golf with Tom, had a keen eye for interior design, and was also exceptional at cooking and baking. She was a devout parishioner at St. James Catholic Church.
