Maria Jesus Garnica, age 89 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Garnica (2015).

Private Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN and 10:30 am Mass at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating. Burial followed at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN
