Maria “Rosita” Martinez de Patiño. 94 años, fallecio el Domingo 5 de Abril de 2020. Nacio el 1 de Enero de 1926 en Guanajuato, Mexico. Era madre de 9 hijos: Angelina (fallecido Antonio) Patiño, Maria Elena (Juan) Vera, Audelia (Manuel) Sanchez, Carmen (Placido) Tirado, Simon (Leonor) Patiño, Maria Luisa (Rogelio) Esutia, fallecida Maria Luz Patiño, Fernando (Mary “Esther”) Patiño y Miguel (Elisa) Patiño; de 36 nietos, 54 bisnietos y tataranietos. Precedida en la muerta por su esposo, Simon Patiño (2003); hija, Maria Luz Patiño; hermano, Mauro Martinez.
Conocida como “Mama Rosita” por todos los que la apreciaban, ella fue el Corazon y el alma de la familia durante muchos años. Con un “Echale ganas”, ella siempre inspiraba a su familia a traves de sus palabras. Sin duda, su mayor tesora, fue su familia y a cambio, su familia esta agradecida por los innumerables recuerdos a lo largo de los años. Si alguna vez necesitabas a alguien con quien hablar, ella siempre estaba alli. Siendo la maravillosa cuidadora que era, siempre se aseguraba de darte tu santa benediciones cuando salias por la puerta. Ella ahora nos guiara en espiritu. No hay suficientes palabras para expresar su grandeza. Ma Rosita sera profundamente extranada, pero esta gozando con su esposo en el Reino de Dios. Te queremos mucho!
Maria “Rosita” Martinez de Patiño, age 94, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Guanajuato, Mexico. She is mother of 9 children: Angelina (late Antonio) Patino, Maria Elena (Juan) Vera, Audelia (Manuel) Sanchez, Carmen (Placido) Tirado, Simon (Leonor) Patino, Maria Luisa (Rogelio) Escutia, late Maria Luz Patino, Fernando (Mary “Esther”) Patino and Miguel (Elisa) Patino; 36 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Simon Patino (2003); daughter, Maria Luz Patino; brother, Mauro Martinez.
Known as “Mama Rosita” by all who cherished her , she was the heart and soul of the family for many years. She always inspired her family through her words, “Eschale ganas”, which translates to “Give it your best”. Her greatest treasure, without a doubt, was her family and her family is grateful for the countless memories through the years. If you ever needed someone to talk to, she was always there. Being the amazing caregiver that she was, she always made sure to give you a holy blessing on your way out the door. She will now guide us in spirit. There aren’t enough words to express how great of a person she was. Ma Rosita will be profoundly missed, but she is now celebrating with her husband in the Kingdom of God. We love her very much!
Private visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, April 13, 2020 followed by 11:30 am Mass at St. Mary's Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating. Burial will be held in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, Mexico at a later date. {**Due to COVID-19 there will be a strict limitation of 10 people allowed at the funeral home and church.
