Maria (Vargas) Rojas

Maria Vargas Rojas, age 73 of Chicago, IL passed away Monday, December 11, 2023.  She is survived by 6 children: Carlos Rojas, Evelia Rojas-Valdivia, Raul Rojas, Rolando Rojas, Sonia Rojas and Gloria Rodriguez; brother, Cruz (Yolanda) Vargas;  many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Demetrio Rojas, Jr. on April 15, 2023; parents, Benjamin and Elena Vargas; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Julio Bedoya officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Church on  morning.
