Maria Olga (Guerrero) Soto

   Maria O. Soto (Guerrero) “Olga” age 76, longtime resident of East Chicago, IN who was born in Brownsville, TX, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana.

   She is survived and her children: Hernan Soto, Veronica (Victor) Sanchez, Rosemary Garnello, Annie Hernandez, and Yara (Jose) Nunez, daughter-in-law Theresa Soto, brothers Ignacio Guerrero and Luis Betancourt, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all whom she dearly loved.

  Olga was preceded in death by her by her parents, Ignacio and Maria Guerrero, sisters Irma Guerrero and Rosalinda Amaro; brother Rogelio Betancourt; husband Arcadio Soto; daughter Josephine Garnello; son Fernando Soto; daughter-in-law Jean Soto; grandchildren; Jose Garnello, Richard Camacho, Michael Soto, Miranda Garnello, Fernando “Little Nando” Soto.

 Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
