Maria Rodiles Torres

Maria Rodiles Torres, age 88, of Gary, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, preceded by her husband, Juan S. Torres, in 2008.  Maria is survived by six children:  Juan Torres, Roy Torres, Xavier Torres, Rosa (John) Villegas, Ray (Norma) Torres, and Teresa Torres; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Carmen Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dog, Cocoa. Preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Rosamaria (Rodiles) Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  Rev. Terry Steffens will have a prayer service at 5:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Private cremation to follow.

Maria retired from the East Chicago Carmelite Home with 24 years of service.  She loved card and dice games, singing, dancing, and enjoyed a good spirit every now and then.  Maria will truly be missed by her family and friends.
