Marion Govorchin, Jr. Obituary

Marion J. Govorchin, Jr., age 65 of East Chicago, Indiana passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. Marion is survived by two sisters: JoMarie Govorchin and Liz Damjanovich; two brothers: Michael and John Govorchin; niece, Lauren Damjanovich; and several cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion L. and Josephine (Pihulic) Govorchin; maternal grandparents: Joseph and Helen Pihulic; and paternal grandparents: John and Mary Govorchin.

Private burial at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.

A life-long resident of East Chicago, Marion worked at Fritz’s Food Shop in East Chicago for many years. He was a life-long member of Holy Trinity (Croatian) Church in East Chicago where he enjoyed attending Church and praying the Rosary.
