Miguel A. Adame

Miguel Adame 68 of Hammond passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 2,2026.

He is survived by his two daughters Monica Lamme (Bob) of Louisiana and Angela Benavidez (Robert) of Hammond, his son Joe Benavidez (Melissa) of Highland, his brother Santana Adame Jr. (Lupe) of Schererville, multiple grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew.                      

Miguel retired from US Steel after 30 years of service. He enjoyed coin collecting and traveling as hobbies and invested in real estate for years after his retirement. He will truly be missed by us all.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10:30 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Keith Virus officiating. Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Saturday morning.
