Miguel Aguirre Obituary

Miguel Aguirre, age 71, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side. Born on November 18th, 1952, Miguel was one out of 10 children born to Angel Aguirre (Father) and Victoria Peña (Mother) in Durango Mexico. Miguel lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.

Miguel moved to Chicago in the early 70’s where in the midst of his love for music, met his beautiful caring wife Marinela. Soon they united and became a family, son (Miguel), son (Carlos), daughter (Maricela), and daughter (Emily). Miguel was preceded in death by his father, Angel Aguirre; mother, Victoria Pena; brother, Lorenzo Aguirre; and sister, Imelda Aguirre.

He is survived by brothers; Clemente Aguirre, Alejandro Aguirre, Jesus Aguirre, Benito Aguirre, and Martin Aguirre; and sisters: Manuela Vaquera and Juana Aguirre; and many nephews, nieces, great grand nephews/nieces and many many friends.

His departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.

One of Miguel's most commendable accomplishments was his status as a highly skilled musician. Music was his language, his solace, and his method of connecting with the world. His musical prowess was notable, and it became his enduring legacy. The norteña melody he brought into this world continues to reverberate even as he is no longer with us. Miguel played the accordion and was the lead vocalist in the norteño group that was accompanied by his brothers in the Chicago area known as Los Hermanos Aguirre.
Miguel Aguirre, a beacon of kindness and love, caring and humorous personality will forever reside in our hearts. His legacy, exemplified by his music and compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through his music, his voice and the love he instilled in us.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, Indiana.  Deacon Juan Rodriguez will hold services at 2:00 pm on Saturday. To send an online condolence, logon to: www.fifefuneralhome.com
