Miguel Perez, Jr.

Miguel Perez Jr., age 53 of East Chicago, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 23, 2025.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen (Castañeda) Perez; sister, Caroline (Niko) Lekic; nephews, Marko and Niko Lekic; numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins;  Preceded in death by his father, Miguel Perez; infant brother, Miguel Perez Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Diego Florez officiating.  Private cremation to follow.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Thursday morning.

Miguel was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan his whole life.  He was a very generous person with a giving heart. His last wish was to be an organ and tissue donor through the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.  He was also loud with an infectious laugh and he loved to be with his family.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities would be appreciated.
