Milta I. (Berrios) Markowicz

Milta Markowicz (nee Berrios) was born and raised to the proud parents, Iris and Joseph Berrios in East Chicago, Indiana.  Milta is survived by her son, Angel Morales; and her siblings:  Marilyn Berrios, Nelson Berrios, Joel Berrios and Noel Berrios.  Preceded in death by son, Custodio Morales, Jr.; brother, Jospeh Berrios Jr., and father, Joseph Berrios, Sr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN, with Pastor Aaron Hauge beginning services at 6:00 pm. Private cremation to follow.

Milta would meet Custodio Morales, Sr. and marry in 1980; they would later have Custodio, Jr. in 1981 and Angel in 1984.. In April 2004 they would separate.  Milta would always be seen with her children; she worked very hard for her two boys, whom she loved dearly.  Sadly on August 27, 2026 Milta passed away to be with the Lord while at Regency Hospital in East Chicago.  Milta will be missed by her son, family and friends
