Nancy C. Buehring

Nancy C. Buehring, age 72, of Whiting, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.  Nancy is survived by 3 children:  Charles Buehring, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Deborah (John) Gundy of Highland, IN, and James (Nicole Woods) Buehring of Whiting, IN; 3 grandchildren:  Kayla Buehring, Paelyn Gundy, and Jacelyn Gundy; 2 brothers:  David (Diane) Cooper of Cave Creek, AZ and George (Maria) Cooper of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Barbara (late Leroy) Click of Lake Station, IN; special cousin, Carol Bednar of Crown Point, IN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Buehring, Sr.; and parents:  Wesley and Margaret (Bednar) Cooper.

Private cremation was held per Nancy’s wishes. A Celebration of Nancy's Life will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the Whiting Elks Lodge #1273, 1521 - 119th Street, Whiting, IN 46394.  All are welcome.

Nancy was a graduate of Immaculate Conception grade school and a 1968 graduate of Whiting High School.  Nancy was a dedicated Mother and a fierce protector who had an independent spirit.  Nancy enjoyed shopping and spending time at the casino; she was a very sociable person – “The Socialite of Whiting.”  She was the Domestic Goddess of her household!  She last attended church at St. Adalbert’s in Whiting.
