Pedro “Pito” Batista, Jr., age 39 of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, January 2, 2026. He is survived by his son Noah Gabriel Batista. Mother and Father: Elizabeth Diana Torres and Norberto Torres; 2 siblings: Tiara Marie (Justin Thomas, who was like a little brother to Pedro) Moore, Step Sister Misuan Haydee Torres; Grandparents: Ana Colon and preceded in death Wenceslao Colon Baez; aunt: Aida (Aminadad Munoz) Colon; uncle: Natanael (Lucy) Colon; cousins: Mari Colon, Keila Lizbeth Centeno, Natanael Colon Jr., Aida Liann Centeno; nieces and nephews: Nayeli Garza, Yari Garza, Yari'melis Bernal, Emilio Bernal Jr., Nayeli Bernal, Helena Moore, Ezequiel Bernal, Charlotte Moore, and Annalis Bernal;

On July 5th 1986 in Orlando, Florida, Pito was born to mother Elizabeth Torres and raised lovingly together with Norberto Torres. He is survived by his sister Tiara Moore and step sister Misuan Torres.

He graduated from East Chicago Central High-school in 2005 and Kaplan College with two associate degrees, Massage Therapy in 2007 and Medical Assistant in 2010. In the year 2014, Pito met Katy Anderson and together had Noah Gabriel Batista on March 1st, 2015. They married in October 2015 and separated in 2021.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 10:00 am to 2;00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026.  Private cremation to follow.  Pastor Jose Martinez & Pastor Emmanuel Lopez will hold services at 12:30 pm on Friday.
