Raymond H. Wilson

Raymond H. Wilson, age 91 of East Chicago, IN passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 5, 2024.  Ray was born in Coushatta, Louisiana.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Florence; parents, William Wilson and Flora Bridgeforth; granddaughter, Amber Ilene Wilson.  He is survived by his children: Leslie (Ray) Lotts of Mason, OH, Mary Wilson of East Chicago, IN, and David (Cynthia) Wilson of Griffith, IN; longtime partner, Wanda Williams and her son, Paul Manley; grandchildren: Candace Watkins, Raymond Wilson, and Melissa (Louis) Ballenger; great grandchildren: Geovani Wilson and Malcom Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Raymond retired from Inland Steel Company and he was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was an avid bowler and participated in many bowling leagues.  He spent most of his time bowling at his favorite bowling establishments, Stardust and Plaza Lanes.  Bowling brought him much joy and he managed to achieve 3 perfect games of 300.  Raymond was loving and devoted to his family and his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
