Richard A. Comanse

Richard A. Comanse passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2020.  Richard is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Glen and Marylou Comanse.  He is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn Lisa Comanse and son-in-law, Daniel Rodriguez; step-son, David Sanchez; grandchildren:  Danny, Caleb, and many more; brothers:  Glen, Michael, Donald, Ronald, James and David Comanse; and long-time best friend and brother, Greg “Kraj” Krajewski.

Richard was a graduate of Roosevelt High School Class of 1975; after graduating Richard entered the United States Army and served for 2 years.  Richard served 10 years as a first-responder fire-fighter with the East Chicago Fire Department.  He earned 2 Degrees in Fire Science during that time.

Richard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and shooting pool.  He was a big music lover.  He will be missed by many.

Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.  The American Legion Allied Post #369 will post colors 5:00 pm and Msgr. John Siekierski will hold services at 7:15 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Due to Covid-19, visitors must adhere to utilizing face masks and social distancing.
