Rita S. Jimenez, age 59 of Hammond, IN passed away Friday, July 22, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 35 years. Juan J. Jimenez; 5 children:Jose Pedro (Rossi) Jimenez, Juan (Daiiana) Jimenez, Jr., Rita Jimenez, Maria Jimenez and Christopher Jimenez; 6 grandchildren: Arcangel Jimenez, Samson Jimenez, Mateo Jimenez, Annastasia Jimenez, Mia Jimenez and Nicholas Jimenez.  Preceded in death by her parents, Jeronimo and Maria Luisa Sahagun; brother, Daniel Sahagun..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 29, 2022 and from 9:00 am to 9:30 am at the Church on Saturday morning.
