Roberto "Fisherman Bob" Mendoza

Roberto E. "Fisherman Bob" Mendoza, age 78 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024.  Father of 5 children: Michele, Marie, Michael, and Bobby; several grandchildren including his close granddaughter, Samantha (fiance Darrius); and several great grandchildren; brother, Ignacio Mendoza, Jr.; many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio, Sr. and Emilia Carrillo de Mendoza; son, Brent Lovell; sister, Candelaria Duran; brothers: Marcelino Sr., Reynaldo Sr., and Raul Mendoza Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August.16, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Friday morning.
