Rosalinda "Rosie" Perez

Rosalinda "Rosie" Perez, age 51, of Whiting, IN, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after a long and hard battle with breast cancer. Rosie is survived by her daughter Arikka (Tory) Perez and her son Aaron Perez; grandchildren Cameron and Dream Hatcher; her brother Freddy (Olga) Perez; sisters Kayla (Buddy) Hunt, Sarah (Aaron) Schwartz, Samantha (Kevin) Fredericks; nieces Jacklyn (Sergio), Ashley (Irving), Adalinn, Raegan, Lucy; nephews Kaiden, Kameron, Ethan, Benjamin. She is preceded in death by her mother Myrna Sue Perez and her father Manuel Perez.

Rosie was a hardworking and determined mother and friend. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She fought a long battle with breast cancer and kept a positive attitude through it all. Her friendly personality brought her so many friends everywhere she went throughout her entire life. Rosie would give you the shirt off her back. Her passion for cooking poured into her work. Rosie was everyone's friend.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026.  Dr. Timothy Wright will hold services at 12:00 noon.
