Ruben Flores

Ruben Flores,age 75 of Hammond, IN passed away Thursday, May 10, 2024.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Martha Flores; daughter, Celena Flores; grandchildren, Catarino Flores and Alexia Flores; step children, George Alfaro, Leon Alfaro, Angela Alfaro and Cecilia Montantes; step grandchildren,  Raquel Rojas, Rochelle Rojas, Alexandrea Alfaro, Gino Herrera, Maria Lena Garza, Adolfo Garza, Harmony Garza, Samantha Herrera, Lainnie Herrera, Nikki Herrera; siblings, Teresa Flores, Cecilia Flores Garcia, Graciela Flores Rodriguez, Jose Flores Regalado, Maria Elena Flores Regalado de Ontiveros, Raquel M. Flores de Hernandez, Margarita Flores Regalado, Ernesto Flores Regalado and Daniel Flores Regalado; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Flores Villaseñor and Evodia Regalado Garibay; brother Jesús Flores Regalado; sister, Judith Flores Figueroa; step daughter, Veronica (Bonnie) Alfaro; step granddaughter, Gysenia Garza. 

Ruben grew up as a farmer and enjoyed gardening. He grew trees, vegetables and flowers. He has many rosebushes.  Ruben was an outdoorsman who liked swimming, playing sports with his family and carne asadas. Ruben also loved music and was good at dancing Mexican dances. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His life and cheerfulness impacted them and he will be greatly missed.
