Rufina Santos

Rufina Santos, age 81, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023. 

Rufina is survived by 6 children:  Aurea Pabon, Judith (Michael) Morin, Gabriel (Marisa) Malave, Victor Malave, Charito Roman, and Roque Roman; 16 grandchildren:  Felicia, Jasmine, Ricky, Rene, and Tianna and 11 other grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 siblings:  Raul (late Felicita) Santos and Adrian (Rosa) Santos; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by her parents:  Bernardo and Juana (Agosto) Santos; and siblings:  Rosalina Santos, Ismael Santos, and Christina Santos.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Prayer Services at 4:30 pm, Rev. Julio C. Bedoya, officiating.  Private Cremation to follow.

Rufina was a hard-working and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to cook and take her chance at luck playing the lottery.  Her work ethic as impeccable as was her drive to be the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother anyone could wish for.  The holidays were her favorite time of the year as she enjoyed bringing her family together to enjoy her cooking, listening to nostalgic music, and sharing lots of laughter.  She will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.  To send an online condolence, logon to: www.fifefuneralhome.com
