Rumaldo "Bruno" Gamboa

Rumaldo “Bruno” Gamboa, age 81, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Rumaldo is survived by 3 daughters:  Maria Isabel Gamboa, Virginia (Leonel) Huerta, and Diana Rosales; and 1 son, Rumaldo Gamboa, Jr.; 9 grandchilren:  Vicky, Rosa, Fermin, Julius, Diana, Sarah, Cristian, Cristina, and Nicholas; 4 great grandchildren:  Alejandro, Javier, Jose, and Santiago; three brothers and four sister; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gamboa; parents:  Victor and Mariana Gamboa; and brother, Guadalupe Gamboa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 3802 Grand Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Brownsville, Texas.

Rumaldo was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired as a forklift operator in the warehouse industry; he was an avid Cubs fan; loved to dance to Tejano music with his wife Virginia.  He was a great story-teller.  Rumaldo was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family and especially enjoyed playing pranks on them.
