Salvador Cardenas, Jr., age 46 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alejandra Cardenas; 2 sons, Alejandro Salvador (age 13) and Julio Cesar (9); father, Salvador R. Cardenas; sister, Grabiela (Flavio) Huerta; 2 brothers, Mariano (Rosa) Cardenas and Gerardo (Jendy) Cardenas; nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his mother, Anita Cardenas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Diego Florez officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Tuesday morning.
