Sandra Ameli Montalvo (SAM)
August 14, 1965-October 22, 2022
Sandra A. Montalvo, age 55, of East Chicago, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends.
Sam is survived by her nieces, Ashley Nicole Montalvo and Lindsey Elizabeth Montalvo, her God-Daughter Maria Mireles-Clopton, special friends Angela Palete-Matos, Janine Harrison, Eliza and George Mireles, and many beloved aunts/uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Maria Montalvo, grandparents Alejandro and Estela Arambula, Jesus and Isabel Montalvo Sr.
Sandra graduated from East Chicago Washington High School in 1985. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington from 1985-1987. Thereafter, attended Purdue Northwest and received a degree in Spanish International Studies and Computer Applications in 1995. Sandra worked for 25 years as a secretary for Purdue Northwest Counseling Center. She was a member of the Hermanos B. Auxiliary since 1991. She was an avid Steven King fan, loved to watch old TV shows and was a collector of movies. She loved her yearly trips to WindyCon, camping trips with her friends, going to the Shipshewana Flea Market and her occasional trip to the casinos.
Family will grant the wishes of Sandra and will have a private burial in Bloomington, IN.
She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
