Steven “Chunks” Moreno, 38 years young. Born in Munster, Indiana on July 25, 1985, peacefully passed away at home, surround by his loved ones, on June 21, 2024.
Steve was survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Moreno (Ferrarini), two children, Mya and Ava. His parents, Manuel and Norma Moreno. Four brothers and sisters, Kenny, Jackie, Manuel, and Jorge. Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and friends whom he considered family.
He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eustaquio and Crescenciana Espinoza and paternal grandparents, Jose Moreno-Rodriguez and Antonia Ceja Aldana.
Steve loved spending time with his family and friends, barbecuing and guns. He had an off the wall sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He made everyone feel welcome and no matter the situation, he could cheer you up and brighten the room. Steve fought a hard battle and kept strong through it all and is now resting peacefully. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Steve’s service will be on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Fife Funeral Home at 4201 Indianapolis Blvd East Chicago, IN with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am and services beginning at 11:00 am with procession following to Maplewood Cemetery, Crown Point, IN. Steve’s nephew Augie will be leading the service and whomever would like to speak about Steve will be encouraged to after Augie. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated.
