Thomas worked at Wisconsin Steel Company in Chicago, IL and Calumet Tank & Equipment in Chicago/Hammond, and Laidlaw Transit Services in Gary, IN where he retired from in 2012. Tom was an old soul, and he enjoyed cars, trains, and working on engines. He was a hard worker no matter the task, and his favorite holiday was Christmas. He would sit on the floor for hours with his train sets and watch them go around. He took care of those around him when he could and loved to tell his stories to anyone who would listen. Even in his last months, despite his illness, he kept his stubborn and old fashioned nature, earning his the nickname “Old Goat” from those he spent his time with. Tom was also referred to as “Doc” from “Back to the Future”, and “Repo” because it was a shorter version of his last name Repasi. He was also compared to “Snoopy” because of the hat he always wore. His spirit will be dearly missed by his family and friends. To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
