Victor M. Ornelas

Victor M. Ornelas, age 53 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at home.  He is survived by 4 children: Jesse (Jessica) Cruz, Michael (Paola) Cruz, Stephanie (Saul Avila) Ornelas, and Bonita Ornelas; 9 grandchildren: Elijah Cruz, Max Cruz, Amelia Cruz, Araceli Ornelas, Zitlali Avila, Aliyah White, Zachary Cruz and Jonathan Cruz and one on the way “Baby Boy A”; mother, Herminia (Juan) Cepeda; brother, Victor Ornelas; many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Preceded in death by his father, Victor M. Ornelas; daughter, Estrella Ornelas; wife, Sylvia Ornelas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Pastor Endhy Amoros, officiating.  Burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday morning.
