Francisco J. “Paco” Sanchez, age 63 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015.  He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Pam Sanchez; 2 sons, Frankie J. and Michael J. Sanchez; granddaughter, Ariana Sanchez; brothers and sisters: Lupe (late Melecio) Magallon, Chela (Mickey) Fernandez, Felipe Sanchez, Mario (late Ana Maria) Sanchez, Rosy (Tom) Homco, Jimmy Sanchez, Rick (Cindy) Sanchez and Ed (Linda) Sanchez;  mother in-law, Tillie (late Carlos) Rodriguez;  In-laws: Late Carlos Rodriguez, Jr., Patty Madrigal, Roger (Rebeca) Rodriguez, Cynthia (Bill) Madden and Rudy (Julie) Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Dave and Kim Boersma.  Preceded in death by parents, Francisco and Maria Sanchez and loving dog, “Machete”.

Francisco was a former employee at Du Pont in East Chicago and Dover Chemical and Lear Corporation in Hammond.  Paco loved his family and friends more than anything else, especially his 15 month old granddaughter, Ari.  He took pride in being a point guard on the 1971  E. C. Washington High School State Championship basketball team (which was elected to the IHSAA basketball Hall of Fame) and he was a Chicago sports team fanatic.

Friends may meet with the family at  FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN from 1:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.  Msgr. John Siekierski will hold services at 5:30 pm.  Private cremation to follow.  Please omit flowers.
