Alfred S. Gutierrez, age 89 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019.  He is survived by his wife 64 years, Mary L. Gutierrez; 2 children: Christina Collins and Lucia Gutierrez; grandchildren: Valerie (Eric) Miszewski and Ryan Collins, John Paul Kotso and Joseph Andrew Kotso and Courtney Drosos; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Rudy and John Spiros; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his son, Ralph Gutierrez; granddaughters, Teresa Maria Kotso and Claire Marie Kotso.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 8:30 to 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman Street, Hammond, IN with Rev. Stephen Kosinski officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
