Denise J. (Perez) Ayala

Denise “Niki” Ayala (nee, Perez), age 57, of Hammond, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 28, 2019. She is survived by five siblings: Debra (Jesse) Garcia, Cynthia Perez, Norma (Jimmy) Laposi, Veronica (Joe) Recio, and Joesph (Jennifer) Perez, III along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Denise is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Ayala, her children Eddie W. Pena Jr. and Pete “Pj” Santos, her parents Joesph Perez Jr. and Sylvia Perez and her Step- Father, Frank “Papi” Munoz.

Niki was born in East Chicago, IN on January 8, 1962. Niki was the 2nd of six children. She was vivacious and very caring. Niki was a caregiver for 15 plus years. She loved to be with family, dancing and joking with her beautiful smile.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 6:00 pm at St. Stanislaus Church 808 West 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Church on Wednesday.
