Emiliano N. Marte

Emiliano N. Marte, age 86 of East Chicago, IN passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, February 2, 2018.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carmen Marte; 4 children: Elizabeth (Ramon) Rivera, David (Kathy) Marte, Hector Marte and Awilda (Ismael) Quintanilla; 9 grandchildren: Ramon, Jr. (Maritza) Rivera, Elizabeth M. Rivera, Natalie Rivera, Madelyn (Randall) Curry, Lina (Jose) Gonzalez Marte, Hector Emiliano Marte, Luis Angel Marte, Ismael Quintanilla, Jr. and Julissa Quintanilla;  5 great grandchildren: Haley Reese Curry, Gabriel and Nathaniel Gonzalez, Sebastian and Phoenix Rivera; 2 brothers and 6 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.

Emiliano retired from Inland Steel Company 1993 after 41 years of service.
