Monica Gutierrez

Monica Gutierrez, age 17 of Munster, IN passed away in her sleep Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  She is survived by her parents, Antonio and Maria Gutierrez; sisters, Olimpia and Diana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. & 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating.  Private cremation to follow.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 13, 2018 and from 9:00 am until time of Mass at the Church on Tuesday morning.

Monica was a vivacious young woman who did not let her disabilities stop her from enjoying life to the fullest.  She enjoyed dancing with friends, swimming during all times of the year, and was always up for a good meal.  She especially loved a wide range of music and movies.  Monica left a deep impact on all the lives she touched.  She left us much too soon and she will always be loved and missed.  Memorial Donations may be made in Monica's memory at the following link: http://paypal.me/pools/c/86TWsul5ic
