Sheryl (Delp) Blankman

Sheryl Blankman (nee Delp), age 73 of Monticello, IN passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019.  Sherry was born November 12, 1945 in Logansport, Indiana to Richard Delp and Dorothy Underdhill (nee Henderson).  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kent Blankman; children:  Arthur Kent Blankman, Brian (Tyonia) Blankman and Jamie (Dawn) Blankman; grandchildren:  Chad, Cody, Ashley, Evan and Ella; great grandchildren:  Monica and Everly; siblings:  Jenece Remaly, Ronald Underhill (Floyd Meeks), Colleen (Michael) Rivera, Melanie Underhill, Celeste Baldwin, Larry (Jan) Blankman, Jerry (Mary) Blankman and Dale (Bonnie ) Blankman; many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents; step-father, Harry Underhill; and sister, Juanita Wendy Callendar.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Central Church of God, 5120 Central Avenue, Portage, IN with Pastor Robert Sluder officiating.  Friends may meet visit with the family from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday at the Church.

Sherry graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette in 1964.  She worked as a waitress most her life; many of those years were at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville.  Sherry was an extremely hard worker and NEVER EVER complained.  She was "Mama Shamrock" for the Hammond Shamrocks; Woodmar Little League President from 1970-1980; and Employee of the Year at the Radisson.  She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Central Church of God Church would be appreciated.
