Aida (Estepa) Arreguin

Aida (Estepa) Arreguin, age 96 of San Antonio, TX formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away peacefully Friday, May 1, 2020.  She is survived by 4 children: Leo (Lucy) Arreguin, Jr., Vicky (Humberto) Flores, Roy (Maria) Arreguin and Linda (Louis) Aguilera; grandchildren: Jennifer Arreguin, Amy (Zach) Pappas and Beth (David) Sammons, Melissa and Stephanie Flores, Leo Arreguin, Louis, Jr. (Courtney) and Allison Aguilera; great grandchildren: Olivia and James Pappas, Myla and Brooklyn Aguilera, Brogan Sullivan and Abigail Sammons; sister, Edith Garcia; nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Leopoldo Arreguin (1994); mother, Mary (Koppsich) Estepa, father, Catalino Estepa; brother, Luis Estepa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday morning. (**Due to COVID-19, there will be a limit of 25 people at a time allowed in the funeral home.)

Aida was an active member in her church (St. Stanislaus Church, East Chicago and St. Michael’s Church, Schererville, IN). She loved to play bingo and poker.  She also loved music, dancing, and cooking.  She devoted much of her time and energy in spending quality time with her family.  She cared deeply for her family and always ensured that everyone who crossed her path was safe, happy, and healthy.  She was known for her strength, loving heart, selflessness, and feisty personality.  Aida will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.  To share an online condolence, logon to
