Anita (Galvez) Cardenas

Anita Cardenas, age 73 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019.  She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Salvador Cardenas; 5 children: Juan A. (Maricela) Galvez, Salvador (Alejandra) Cardenas, Jr., Grabiela (Flavio A.) Huerta, Mariano (Rosa) Cardenas and Gerardo (Jendy) Cardenas; grandchildren: Antonio, Ana and Jennifer, Alejandro S. and Julio C., Flavio A., Jr., Yaritza A., Aaron E., Yareli G. and Yuriana J., Fatima, Jesus M. and Jocelyn M., Eucebio A. and Rosbania M.; siblings: Maria (Rosendo) Castellanos, Antonio (Ma. Concepcion) Galvez, Francisco (late Ma. Elena) Galvez and Aurelio (Ma. Guadalupe) Galvez; numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Frank Torres officiating.  Burial will take place in Sahuayo, Michoacan, Mexico (time and date pending).  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Thursday morning.
