Concepcion "Concha" (Munoz) Reding

Concepcion “Concha” Reding, age 78 of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  She is survived by 5 children: Jose (Theresa) Reding, Daniel (fiancée Esmeralda Guzman) Reding, Marc (Patricia) Reding, John (fiancée Aidaleen Cortes) Reding and Kristina Reding; 8 grandchildren: Olivia, Erika, Melanie, Jessica, Ariana, Jocelyn, Priscilla and Yeshua; great granddaughter, Milani Joy; siblings: Rebecca Jaime, Josefina Guevarra, Elena Gomez and Jesus Muñoz.  Preceded in death by her husband, Jose Guadalupe Reding; siblings: Enedino Muñoz, Merced Muñoz, Pablo Muñoz, Cipriano Muñoz, Jose Muñoz, Maria Muñoz and Enriqueta Muñoz.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Thursday morning.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was known to everyone as “Grandma Connie” and “Concha”.  She was the sweetest to everyone she came across and had the gift of hospitality.  Grandma Connie was one of a kind from her heart of gold to her always seeing the good in people. Never did she judge or get out of character with anyone because she had such a sweet soul.  Family meant everything to her, she LIVED for her family and everything she did was for her grandkids.  Her heart was full of love for people, she always whole heartedly fed everyone and took genuine care of family and friends.  Grandma Connie loved Mexican music and loved to dance at family gatherings.  She will always be remembered by her independency, contagious joy and how great of a cook she was.  She will always be on our minds and FOREVER in our hearts.  Her love and kindness spoke for itself, she will be missed by many.  To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
